Granbury, Texas - Brian M. Murphy, 75, of Granbury passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Visitation: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury with service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial with follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park.
Brian was born on September 8, 1946 in New Jersey, Newark to Joseph and Florence Murphy. He received his bachelors' degree from TCU and his graduate degree from USC. He served on multi-agency task forces for the FBI, DEA, and the Secret Service. He provided protection detail for Presidents Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter.
Brian married Pamela Martinez on December 31, 1990 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe and Mark Murphy, and sister Rita Murphy.
Brian is survived by his wife: Pam Murphy, children: Sean Murphy, Kevin Murphy and Colleen Murphy, and siblings: Vincent Murphy, Charles Murphy, and Dave Murphy.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Brian and I worked together at the general services administration, office of Inspector General, for many years. We were good friends. I cannot remember a day where we did not have lunch or take a break together. Although we did not stay in touch after we retired, I still thought of Brian often and hoped he was happy and in good health. Rest in peace, my friend.
