I had the pleasure to meet CJ a little more than a year ago thanks to our friend KB. Carl was one of those few people you meet in a lifetime that by simply being themselves could bring joy and laughter to those around him. His smile and enthusiasm for life, music and business was enough to keep a smile on my face for many days after seeing him. He was a welcomed guest in our home and I will truly miss the phone calls that would always begin with him asking me if this was his New-Best-Friend. Our hearts and prayers are with his family and friends who's love he shared. The strong family ties along with the love and respect that he had for his parents has given me an example of the man I hope my son becomes. Thoughts of him will always bring a smile to my face. Thank you CJ for the time we had.

On behalf of the Caldwell Family...we want to send our condolences to the Hornbuckle Family. I had the pleasure to meet this young man and listen to one of his demo's. I know he will be missed...especially by his sister whom thought so highly of him. Crystal, all we can say is keep your hand in Gods hand. This heartache is not going to be easy. Keep your family close to you and remember God don't make no mistakes. Carl has done something we all will have too do...go home and be with our Lord. If it's anything we can do to comfort you in this time. Just call...

Growing up with C.J. was a wonderful blessing. He was a very outgoing and talented young man. His warm smile immediately made you feel comfortable and smile too. Over the years, I've often thought of the time we spent growing up together along with my family. He will always be in my memories. He was a tremendous help and blessing to parents, espcially my father. He always spoke very highly of C.J. He was a treasure to know and he will be greatly missed. My prayer is that God will bring you comfort during this time and that you will continue to put all faith in Him. I am praying for your family.

To the Hornbuckle Family; you have our deepest sympathy. But always know to be absent from the body; is to be present with the Lord. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it was not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. {John 14:1-2}

Dear Carl & Shirley,
I am deeply sorry about the loss of your son, C.J.
But I want you to know that those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a love one's gone.
