Carrol Harkness Obituary
December 10, 1949 - January 10, 2026
Fort Worth, Texas - Carrol Thomas "Tom" Harkness born into poverty in Houston, Texas, he was never without a job, rising to executive leadership in the metal building industry. He later became a prominent figure in the North Texas and national APHA, winning world championships with horses including Miss Cool Heir. After surviving a near-fatal car accident, he became an accomplished poker player. His greatest achievement was being there for his children and grandchildren. He passed on January 10, 2026 with family at his side. He is survived by his wife, Kim, whose devotion made his long life possible, his children, and his many grandchildren.

To friends and family: please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. May God bless you with His Grace to ease your grief. It was my privilege and pleasure to work with Tommy in El Paso, IL in the 1970s at Metallic. I have memories I will enjoy always.
