Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Saturday at his residence.
Memorials: Should friends desire, his memory may be honored with a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Maynard enjoyed flying and was an avid pilot and flight instructor. His flying career spanned over 50 years with his start in the Air Force. He was also an architect and designed his home, which was enjoyed by family and friends. Maynard was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, of 60 years.
He will always be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Survivors: Daughter, Shan Finotti and husband, John; sons, Mark Fowlds and Greg Fowlds and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Tammie and husband, Todd, Ruby, Alan, Kevin and Kelli; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Paige, Kara, Katie and Kori; sister, Carol Sastaad; and numerous other loving family and friends.

I worked for Maynard for 2 years from 1987-1989. He even came to my wedding the first month I started working for him. I sure liked listening to his WWII stories of flying the Burma Hump. Best boss I ever had.
