North Richland Hills , Texas - Charles "Randy" Cagle passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jackie Cagle.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Springdale Baptist Church. Immediately following, a procession to the graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery will be led by the Fort Worth Police Department. A reception will be hosted by the family after services. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 in Mount Olivet Chapel in Fort Worth.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Randy's honor to the Salvation Army.
Randy was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 8, 1948. He was the son of the late Charles and Janie Stitt Cagle. Randy is also survived by his son, Colby and his wife, Connie; two grandchildren, William and Olivia; his sister, Janie Teel and her husband, Wade; many nieces, nephews and a loving extended family.
Before his retirement, Randy worked for the Texas Christian University (TCU) Police Department for 14 years. He loved working and traveling with the TCU Horned Frogs football team and was an integral and respected part of the TCU community. Prior to working with TCU, Randy was a police officer with the Fort Worth Police Department in the Mounted Patrol Division. This Division served as a reminder of the western heritage of Fort Worth in the historic district of the city and furthered his dream of being the "Big R. Superstar Wild Horse Racer."
Randy was a generous and caring man who surpassed expectations, especially for those in want or need. He was very loyal to family and friends, spent time with others to celebrate large and small occasions, enjoyed car shows with his son and grandson and loved cheering on his granddaughter at soccer games. He was a Corvette collector and enjoyed time at the family cabin.
