Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Cleburne. Burial: Cleburne Memorial Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home, Cleburne.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Dr. Charles P. Pitts Scholarship Fund, Development Office, 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211-9299.
Dr. Charles P. Pitts was born in Johnson County Nov. 5, 1916. He was a retired U.S. Army chaplain, pastor and Dallas Baptist University president.
Survivors: Wife, Johnny Lee Pitts of Godley; brother, Groner Pitts of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
