Much sympathy to Mary and Charles, Norman and Michelle, Walt and Kate and Spencer. From the Longo family - Lori, Frank and Alex
Charley was an interesting guy. He told us some good life stories and could play a tune or two on the piano! My favorite tale was of his trip to Big Bend with Walter and Charles K ( which he printed out and bound in a notebook for me!)
I think Mary inherited his talent for writing wonderful personal notes. He seemed to have had a full and adventurous life. May he Rest In Peace.

Thank you, Marge.
One of my favorite memories of my grandpa...I remember one day (when I was around seven or eight years old) grandpa and I were out in the pasture at "the old place" in Keller and one of those mid-summer thunderstorms rolled in without much warning. The two of us were caught in the downpour that followed. We started running across the pasture through the rain and when we were about 40 yards from the house grandpa told me to run for a small (probably no more than 4´ x 4´) table he had behind the house. We climbed under the table and sat there next to each other watching the rain as it pounded leaves off the Post Oak trees surrounding the house and counting the seconds between the flash of lightening and the thunder.
He could have let us continue running the short distance to the house, but he didn´t. He knew it would be more fun for a kid to ride it out under a table (even if it resulted in both of us getting a little rain on us...he let me have the relatively dry end).
I´ve been fascinated by storms ever since. Today my son Wyatt and wife Kate enthusiastically join me on family day trips to see the thunderstorms that fire up NW of our home in Oklahoma City. I could go on and on with stories about my grandpa, but I will end this note with that one since it summarizes the sort of fellow, he was to me. I will forever miss grandpa and will do my best to keep his spirit alive in the days and years that follow.

Prayers for this beautiful Family. I remember sitting next to Charley watching Walter and Lance play baseball. Charley was so knowledgeable about all aspects of the game.
