Dr. Prochera was hands down the best boss that I ever had. I've always told that to anyone who will listen. He was an amazing teacher that made me the Respiratory Therapist that I am today. He was extremely generous and rewarded hard work. He was always so kind to me and my family. I'm so sad to hear about his passing. Prayers to his family!

I am so saddened that my Google search for this wonderful man leads me here.
Chuck was a lowly intern when I was a medical student at UofM doing my required Internal Medicine rotation, but he was by far the most important person in my eight weeks time there. Although I am certain I must have quadrupled his work load, he never let on that I was anything but a member of the team who should be taught--and teach he did!
His experience at UI served us all well, and his dedication to his patients is an example that served me and all the people I have cared for these many years well.
I am sorry for his family's and friends' loss of this truly good man.

I just heard of his passing yesterday. I worked with Dr Prochera when he shared an office with Dr. Eisen. He was a fun, lighthearted, and compassionate man. His patients were so blessed to have him caring for them. I was blessed to work with him, and to call him my friend. May God's loving arms surround your family. He will be missed by so many people. He was a special man. God bless him!

I just get the message that Dr. Prochera is not with us anymore. I am really shocked... I was his patient until he retired. He was a very nice gentleman. When I visit his office/chamber, he discusses with me about his family, vacation plan and so on beside his professional work. I remember, he mentions most of the time, “I want to spend more time with my family”. I will pray for him. May Allah bless him.

Dr.Prochera will be missed and I pray he knew how many lives he touched. He was a special guy for my son who was his youngest patient, 8yrs old at beginning of docs practice. My son is now 39 and followed doc as a patient and friend even after Dr Prochera closed his practice. Dr Prochera even understood me, as a over protective mom. What a positive difference he made in my sons life as a doctor and friend. With my family's love and respect. Carol Self

Steve and I worked with Chuck at Harris HEB. I remember when he first started private practice and told me he was so worried he wouldn't be busy. I believe he was our first pulmonary specialist. I said, Dr. Prochera, don't worry, you will be so busy you won't know what to do, and he was.

I worked with Dr. Prochera at THHEB he gave me the greatest opportunity in a life time and that was we went to Canada and brought back a ventilator patient that he took care of and was able to wean her off that ventilator. I will never forget his leadership and friendship. RIP my friend you will be missed.

Joy, a great feeling of sadness came over Carolyn and me when we read of Chuck's passing. During the 28 years that he took care of me I came to know him as an exceptional Doctor and a constant friend. It was through his dedication and skill that I made it through my asthma and Chug-Strauss. He then did what numerous other doctors said could not be done; he put me back in the cockpit and made it possible to continue my flying career. We will hold his memory in our hearts forever.
May the Lord lead and comfort you, Paige and Taylor in this time of sorrow.

Dr Prochera was my Mom's Pulmonary Dr - She had pulmonary fibrosis, such a cruel disease particularly since she never smoked. He was very kind and caring and always lovingly took care of her. When I asked him what 'I was supposed to do without my Mother, he so very kindly told me of the loss of his own Mom at an early age. He was so very sympathetic to my impending loss - that was 17 years ago and I have never forgotten his kindness. My condolences to you in your loss. May God Bless, and comfort you, his family, as you start your journey without his physical presence.
