Charlie Hargrove Obituary

Charlie Carey Hargrove Jr., 86, passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004.

Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with military honors. The Rev. Michael Chalk will officiate. Masonic service under the auspices of Perfect Union Lodge No. 10 A.F. & A.M. Visitation: The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Porter Loring, 1101 McCullough Ave., San Antonio.

Charlie was a 32nd degree Mason of the Arlington Heights Lodge No. 1184 A.F. & A.M. in Fort Worth. He was a member of the Order of Sons of Hermann, Scottish Rite Bodies, Alzafar Temple–A.A.O.N.M.S. and the Disabled American Veterans. Charlie was a longtime member of St. George Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iona F. Hargrove.

Survivors: Sons, Charles C. Hargrove of Fort Worth and Clifford D. Hargrove and wife, Jonise M. Hargrove, of Austin; grandsons, Carey C. Hargrove and Brian C. Hargrove, both of Fort Worth, and Zachary C. Hargrove and Jeremy P. Hargrove, both of Austin; granddaughters, Jana R. and husband, Kevin Ballentine, and Melody Hargrove, all of Fort Worth, and Frances V. Hargrove of Austin; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Rebecca J. and husband, Les Duncan, of Leming.
