Ruby, Demond, and Danielle,
I am so, so sorry to hear of Danielle passing. Seth and San Harris just got the news and called me. I have always thought of you as my sister and your children as my godchildren. Although God took your husband and Father home, He did not leave you alone. I love you all and pray God's comfort upon you.

Dear Mrs. Dukes and family,
I consider "Dukes", as I called him, to be one of my closest friends, confidant and mentors in life. Words cannot express what a guiding light and Rock that he was to those that knew him. Words surely cannot express my sorrow and deepest sympathies. We mourn together in his passing. Walk with the Lord and may the ALMIGHTY keep and BLESS you.
Sincerely,
Larry Robinson

Mrs. Ruby Dukes,
My condolence goes out to you and your family. I am lost for words right now. Your husband was one of the most honest men that I have ever met. I use to be on the Usns Flint with him. He treated me like a little brother. He would set me down and talk to me about life and what to expect from life. I looked up to Mr. Duke. I can truly call him a friend. He truly loved his family. May God bless you and your family in this time of lost.

Dan was a super person. He was one of the classiest kindest people I knew. He was one of the few good friends I had in MSC. He was a fellow Seinfeld buff and I would tease him about his obsession with the Raiders-Lakers. His love for his family was tremendous. He was from L.A. like me. We will miss him greatly. I wish to extend my deepest condolences to his wife and children and to his extended family of which he spoke of quite fondly and often.

Dear Ms. Dukes: I'm deeply sorrowed by your loss. I'm a co-worker of Dan's on the USNS Flint and also retired navy. It has struck us hard here to learn of his untimely death. I'm from the Dallas area also, Dan and I used to talk about the area all the time. I will miss his friendship. Please pass my deepest regards to your family. Sincerely Ronald L. Parker, RETC
