Holly and family, I just learned of the passing of your husband, Daryl. My sincere and deeply heartfelt condolences. I didn't know him but could always tell how much you loved and cared for him and your family. Reading the postings here from his coworkers, I can see that he held you, his family, and his Savior in the highest regard. What a blessing he was to so many! May you and Syd and family find peace in knowing he is with our Lord. Hugs.

I just started to work with Daryl several months ago on a project and he struck me as such a kind, thoughtful, gentle man. I looked forward to every conversation as he always had something nice to say, or would try to make you laugh. We spoke often these past few months about his love of the weekends: spending time with his family. What a gracious man who touched many of our lives. God bless his family. He will be missed by his colleagues at Citi and leaves a lasting legacy.

My dearest Daryl. I love you forever. I cannot imagine my life without you being a part of it. I have no words to express how much I am going to miss seeing your handsome smiling face everyday or hearing you tell me a great story about the days events.I am a better person because of you and your love for me. I love you with every fiber in my being. I have been so blessed to have been married to you for 28 years. You are my best friend, my love, my mentor, my confidant and the only true love of my life. My heart has been dissolved by losing you. I want you to be proud of me and I know I must go on living without you, I just don't know how to do that yet. You are the most gentle of men, the most kindest of men and the most loving of men.I am happy you know how much I love you, it gives me a sense of peace. If I can't take care of you any longer, I am glad God can. I am happy you are healed now and in the presence of our Father in Heaven. I am certain you are in charge of greeting all the new incoming angels. You have always had a spirit of love and compassion in you.I will live my life as a tribute to everything you taught me, to be strong, brave and independent. I know you are watching me and I will promise to always put God first just like you did! I know with certainty I will see you again in God's time. I can only thank God for allowing us to have an amazing life together and try not to be too hard on myself now that we are apart. Always remember this my love, I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart <3 All my love, Hollybelle

I had the privilege to know Daryl. He was one of my closest friends, mentor and acted as a big brother- ya'll know how he takes care of everyone and makes them a part of his family! He always put his family and God first in his life. Daryl was the ultimate foodie and introduce me to my favorite restaurants in Dallas. He was an avid reader and we spent hours discussing books. Daryl's love for his Holly and Sydney was incredibly special. Holly, Sydney, LaVelle and Darla I am so sorry for your loss. May you find peace and joy remembering and sharing memories. Heaven received an amazing Angel. I know he is with you and looking out for all of you. God Bless

I met Daryl on a project in 1997 with Bank One and found him to be an honest, genuine colleague with a pure and simple approach. We both grew up in small farming communities and often shared stories of a life different than our corporate ones. He had two family photos on his desk that he cherished; one with his wife and daughter and one with his father and grandfather. He was as good as good gets and will be sorely missed. My condolences to Holly and Sydney, to his Mother and to all his family.

First and foremost I consider Daryl one of my close friends. Daryl was a great husband and father, nothing was more important to him than his family. Daryl and I shared the same workplace for the majority of the last 20 years, and made many memories in those years. I am going to miss him more than words can express. Love and prayers to his loving family !!
