David Coffman Obituary

David Brinson Coffman, 55, an electronics engineer, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010.
Celebration of life: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. David requested that his last family and friends gathering be a casual, informal affair and, as such, would like everyone who chooses to join in to please come in comfortable attire.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, David's favorite charities were the Humane Society of Arlington, 7817 S. Cooper, Arlington, Texas 76001, and Teen Challenge, 1151 E. Broadway, Louisville, Ky. 40204.
David was born in Hope, Ark., on April 3, 1954, to Eldon and Betty Coffman. He spent most of his growing-up years in Fort Smith, Ark., before moving to Texas in 1989, where he received his bachelor's degree in electronics and his FCC license. He had an inquisitive mind and talent for electronics, starting off in TV and VCR repair and moving on to computers and security systems. He owned three different businesses specializing in electronics repair.
His major interests and passions were for his Lord, his family, any dog he ever met, the forests of Arkansas, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and the space program. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a wonderfully infectious smile. David had several health problems in his last years, but continued to pursue his passions as best he could.
Survivors: Wife, Claudell Coffman; son, Brinson Coffman and wife, Christy; mother, Betty Coffman; father and stepmother, Eldon and Sandy Coffman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and David Richard, Louise and Steven Cole; brother, Doug Coffman; brother and sister-in-law, EJ and Sara Coffman; granddaughter and grandson, Cara and Jake Coffman; a wonderful collection of extended family members; and his Chihuahuas, Desi and Lucy.

David was My Brother, I am his Younger Brother, He always Referred to Me as Bubba, and I Referred to Him as Bubba, I Drive by all the Place's He and I used to go In Arkansas, and It is Killing me to think, I Cant talk with him, or Do all the things we used to do. We were very close, like Mutt and Jeff, I will always Miss and Love Him, Pray for Me and my Mom, It is very difficult for him to be taken 25 - 30 years ahead of his time. Sometime's Life just Isnt Fair, and this is one of those time's. We had many plans of building a cabin in the Mountains of Northwest Arkansas, and in his words, Just Living Off the Land. I will still Build that Cabin, and I will make sure he would have Loved it! I LOVE YOU BUBBA, I LOVE YOU BUBBA, GO HOGS GO!
