David Grale Obituary

Grale, David Walter
passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014. Dave was an accomplished bassist who played with Affinity, Chuck Marohnic's Sanctuary Jazz, the Arizona Big Band, and others. He is survived by his father Walter Grale, sisters Diane Bevack (Joseph) and Debbie Grale (the late Denis Yeso), son Trenton Grale, daughter Tiffiny Grale Dawson (David), grandchildren James and Claire Dawson, nephew James Dargocey (Leighanne) and dear friends Janis Traxler, Linda Grale and Bob Lashier. Preceded in death by his mother, Clara Grale. Memorial service to be announced later.

I had lunch with Dave this past March when I was in the area for the Cleve. Indians spring training. I hadn't seen Dave since 1970 when we played in a rock band together named Smarty. I had looked forward to spending time with him, and will miss him very much. Prayers to his family that he greatly loved.
