I worked with David at UCLA Extension, as an employee in The Entertainment Studies Department for 20 years. He was there from my first day. I would visit him at his desk almost daily, and we would talk and share. David always offered me sound advice, but we also shared humor. I recall David with such fondness, and will never forget him. I'm only sorry that he passed too soon. His memory will forever remain in my heart. He was always so kind, helpful and thoughtful--a genuinely good person.

To the Hargis & Matlock families, I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. God needed an angel, so he took David by the hand to enter the promise land. David is suffering no more, but is peacefully resting. Let us thank God for this wonderful person that he let us enjoy for a while. May God give you strength during this time of sorrow, but remember that joy will come tomorrow. Rest in peace David until we meet again.
