Martha Frances Benedict

Martha Frances Benedict, born June 19, 1951, in Los Angeles, passed away January 22, 2026. Martha grew up in Studio City, graduated in 1976 from UCLA with a Phi Beta Kappa key. Then post-grad at University of Pennsylvania studying literature and linguistics. She worked in graphics design and advertising. Martha became a partner at division-7.com in 1999. After her 2002 move to Montecito Heights, she took on civic roles for the Montecito Heights Improvement Association, Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council, Debs Park Advisory Board, Mt. Washington Preschool and Child Care Center, Highland Park Ebell Club, and more. As a professional photographer she did work for the Huntington Library, Pacific Opera Project, LA Commons, Arroyo Arts Collective, USC, Descanso Gardens, the Audubon Center at Debs Park, and others. Martha is survived by her cousin, Nancy Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Walter, and sister Laura. A service will be held on Friday, February 20, from 6 to 10 PM at the Four Square Church, 4328 N. Figueroa, Sycamore Grove, 90065.
