David B. Muir, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 24, 2012, surrounded by loving family and friends, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Lake Cypress Springs in Mount Vernon. David was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Marian Muir; and sisters, Patricia Shook, Barbara Dudley and Virginia Burgess. David's family and friends would like to acknowledge the incredible kindness and friendship conveyed over many years by the Dalworthington Gardens Police Department, EMTs and Fire Department, the wonderful care provided by Vitas Hospice, and a special thank-you to Elaine Skinner for her loving home care of David. Survivors: David is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Judy Muir; his beloved son, David B. Judy and "little" David affectionately known in our DWG neighborhood, and to Miles, whom I've found in my yard having wandered away from David on their walks, my sincerest condolences for your loss. David had such a warm smile and always reminded me of George Hamilton...always fit, tan and smiling.
We will miss him on our street. God bless you.

My youngest son has great memories of David watching a football game when he came with me one night! He was always the kind of person that would joke around with the best of them! He had a great sense of humor!
