Edward Curtis Tally, II

Justin, Texas - Edward Curtis Tally, II, lifelong resident of Justin, Texas, passed away on January 1, 2026, entering heaven to glorify his Savior, Jesus Christ. Born to Edward Curtis Tally and Faye Shofner Tally, Curtis planted deep roots in his faith, family, church, and community. His life was defined by a lived faith-one marked by service, generosity, integrity, and love for others.

Curtis graduated from Texas Tech University in 1958 and returned home to found Justin Seed Company, building a trusted business grounded in honesty and hard work. He married Mary Oneta Reynolds in 1958, beginning a devoted 67-year marriage. Curtis faithfully served First Baptist Church of Justin for over 60 years, was instrumental in supporting Camp Copass, and dedicated decades to civic service, including Meals on Wheels, Justin State Bank, CoServ Electric Cooperative, and numerous community boards. He also loved flying, gardening, traveling, storytelling, and time with friends and family.

Curtis was known affectionately as "SUPER" to his grandchildren-a steady source of wisdom, humor, and unconditional love. He is survived by his wife, Oneta; daughter Karen; son and daughter-in-law Tracy and Julie; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister and brother; and a large extended family. Curtis lived well, served faithfully, and leaves a legacy firmly planted in faith and love.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Justin Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Justin Baptist Church.
