Fred Applewhite Obituary

Fred Louis Applewhite of Grand Prairie passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 W. Illinois Ave., Dallas. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Applewhite was born July 27, 1926. He was a retired diesel mechanic and Navy petty officer who served in World War II. He was a proud American and a disabled veteran.
Survivors: His wife, Patsy Applewhite; sons, Arthur and Jeffrey Applewhite; daughter, Yvonne Applewhite; sister, Emma Lee Harris; and his loving grandchildren and nieces.

I have alot of fond memories of Uncle Fred. He was always happy and he could blow a heck of a good train whistle.
