Rest In Peace Garland. You were the cousin I only met once when I was little and with my daddy, James L. Hutchison. I always bragged that I had a cousin who was very tall and he was withTX law enforcement. Even though I lived in CT, I had people shaking in their boots when we were kids. I'm sorry that I never got to visit you through the years. I really would have loved to know my dad's side of my family better. I will always think of my very tall cousin who was a sweetheart. Love your cousin, Anne Hutchison Dessaint

I fondly remember Sunday or Monday night football with you and the guys. Rest well, big guy, and know that you are missed. R.I.P., Garland.

Garland and I worked together at UT Arlington PD before I went on to Arlington PD. He was a gentle giant with a kind word for everyone. He and his family would meet up with our family and We would all watch the annual Arlington 4th of July parade, always sitting on the curb on S. Cooper Street by Davis Hall. Those are wonderful memories of a simpler time. I will miss you, my friend.
