Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Gene Willis of Immanuel Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Chaparas was born on Aug. 6, 1924, to Hattie and Peter Chaparas of St. Louis, Mo. He served in in the Army 81st Infantry, Wildcats Division, in World War II. He married Muriel E. Johnston Aug. 14, 1948. Mr. Chaparas was associated with Maher Bros. Ford in Oak Cliff, and later with Red Bird Ford in Duncanville. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years.
Survivors: Daughter, Sharon Chaparas of Grand Prairie; sister, Dorothy Farace, Vandalia, Ill.; brother, Jim Chaparas of St. Louis, Mo.
