Irene Story Chandler, 92, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at an assisted living facility in North Richland Hills. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Interment: Hillcrest Burial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home, 511 W. Main St., Waxahachie. Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Curtis Manley, Bryan Voskuil and Bill Story. She was born May 6, 1918, in Merkel to Oliver Edwin and Lieugeia Dyess Story. Irene married Andrew Chandler in 1954 in Dallas. She taught Sunday school in Killeen for many years. She moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1997. We would like to thank the wonderful staff and administration at Good Place Assisted Living for all their love, care and support. We would also like to thank Hospice Plus for the wonderful care over Iren's last two weeks. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Chandler; sisters, Christine Gorman, Ida Mae Compton, Ruby Hayes and Ethyl Story; brothers, Clyde Story, Cicero Story and Elbert Story. Survivors: Daughter, Kathy Johnson and her husband, David, of North Richland Hills; granddaughters, Kristi Johnson Manley and her husband, Curtis, of McKinney and LeighAnn Johnson Voskuil and her husband, Bryan, of North Richland Hills; great-granddaughter, Beckham Ann Manley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
