We spent a few years together aboard the Peleliu. Today at her decommissioning, three of us who knew him shared the good times we spent aboard. Jake was a big part of it. He was always happy and was a good friend to all. Thank you Jake.

Jake,
You were a great friend. Some of the most memorable moments of my time in the service were with you by my side. Seems like it was just the other day we were on the roof of that hotel in Dubai throwing water balloons. I will miss the phone calls reminiscing of the old times (even know my wife yells how many times do I have to hear about that cat Sylvester) so many great memories. I wish I could share them all. It was an honor to serve with you and be your friend.

Love you brother

May, God bless, Jacobs’ soul. He is at Peace.
To Jacobs Dear Family, Friends & Mari: May I share a passage that was once shared with me.

“God did not make death. Nor does He rejoice in the destruction of the living. For, He fashioned all things, that they might have being. And, the creatures of the world are wholesome, and there is not a destructive drug among them, nor any domain of the netherworld on earth. For justice is undying. For God formed man to be IMPERISHABLE, the image of His own nature, He made him.”

Jacobs time on earth was a gift from God. Cherish the time you had with him. Reflect and share the memories you have and hold them close to your hearts. During your time of grief, may you find comfort in knowing; Jacob is not lost; but, leaves his life for an eternal life to provide service to the Lord.

To all of Jacob's family, my deepest and sincerest condolences. I worked with Jacob for only a short time at Countrywide about 4 years ago. He was always quick to make us laugh enough on our toughest days. It is safe to say he made an impact on this world.

Oh Sweet, Sweet Dear Boy! How sad we are all that you are gone. You were loved by more people than you could possibly know. God loved you and he needed you more. We all know you are looking down on us and taking care of us. We miss you so much. You are such a good and sweet soul. You can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his puppy. You were so sweet to Rusty & Mattie. I remember taking Mattie out to the race camp grounds and somebody was wanting to put her in the fenced area. I was going to go look at something, and you said "I'll take care of Mattie" And you just held her and talked to her. That is the kind and gentle soul we all loved. We miss you sweetie. We will take good care of Mari & Rusty.

Love, Julia

It saddens me so to hear of the loss of this wonderful guy. He always made me laugh with a good joke in season. I loved being his backup and working closely with him on projects. You will be sorely missed my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. He was an amazing person.

Jacob, working with you was such a joy. Lots of laughs. I still say your telling me( in my interview to be your supervisor)... that your favorite movie was 'Caddie Shack' , explained a lot about the young man I came to know over the next 2 years. You once told me the world would be a better place if it rained 'Jolly Ranchers' and the next day I made sure it rained 'Jolly Ranchers' for you. Thank you for the memories....Jo Ann Bellah
