Arlington, Texas - James Thomas "JT" Matthews, Jr passed away May 29, 2024. He was born October 20, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas the son of James Thomas Mathews and Evelyn Coburn Matthews.
He served in the United States Air Force and worked in the family antiques and jewelry business until he became a Christian leader sharing his faith through this nursing home music ministry. He loved the Lord, his family, singing, and golf.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggie; son, Jay and his wife, Abby; sisters, Jamalyn Cannon and Tee Matthews Hamilton; and his cousins, Fradean French and Terry Cates.
A Graveside Service will be held at the DFW Veterans Cemetery June 12 at 2:15.
