James Prock Obituary

James Walker Prock Sr., 87, of Pilot Point passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Denton. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fort Worth with Jim Porter officiating. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Slay Memorial Chapel of Pilot Point. Arrangements are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center, Pilot Point. James was born April 8, 1927, in Dallas. He married Betty Ann Sitzes on Dec. 3, 1948, in Pilot Point. James served in the U.S. Navy. The family gives special thanks to Ardent Hospice for their care and support. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mack Prock. Survivors: His wife, Betty of Pilot Point; son, James Prock Jr. of Haslet; sister-in-law, Joan Jackson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
