Jasper (Jack) Howard Williamson

Hurst, Texas - Jasper (Jack) Williamson, April 5, 1930 August 5, 2025, in Bedford, Texas Jack Williamson, 95, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and two daughters.

Born in Greenville, Mississippi, he grew up in Greenwood, Mississippi with a younger brother, Cecil, now deceased, and a sister, Jean Ferguson, who lives in Starkville, Mississippi.

After graduating from Mississippi State College, he earned his master's degree in chemistry while teaching at Purdue University for two years.

Following his first job at Shell Chemical in Houston, Texas, he obtained a sales position with Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan, where he met his wife, Carolyn Rae Schreiber, a college student at Michigan State University at a church young adult meeting.

He was drafted at age twenty-seven. After he married Carolyn in Midland, Michigan, the couple lived in an apartment in Oceanside, California, until August when the navy discharged him. They drove back to Michigan and lived Bay City. Carolyn resumed teaching in Pinconning, Michigan, and Jack worked in sales for Dow Chemical.

He later bought into Arthur Treacher's Clean Team Program franchise in Birmingham, Michigan, hiring pairs of maids and a window washer to clean houses.

Intrigued by the Success Motivation Program, he bought into it and the family moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he sold those programs. They moved to Hurst, TX, bought a house on Brown Trail, and lived there since 1973.

Jack became a real estate agent and bought and fixed up houses, then sold them for a profit. He started an organization for real estate flippers, called North Texas Exchangers, and was elected president.

At church, he taught a Sunday School class that surveyed the whole Bible. Jack and Carolyn celebrated their 68th anniversary on June 16th with dinner at Outback Restaurant.

On August 4th, suffering from staph and sepsis, also called cellulitis fasciitis, he was taken to the hospital where he died early Tuesday, August 5th.
