Jeronimo Galvan Obituary

Jeronimo "Chief" Galvan, 81, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Jeronimo "Chief" Galvan was born Sept. 30, 1921, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Jeronimo was a longtime resident of San Benito. After 23 years of service in the U.S. Army, he opened his own meat processing company known as Choice Beef.

Survivors: Wife, H. Ernestine Galvan; stepchildren, Emily Finn, J. Frank Soto and Carmen Dacus; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sister, Gumina Meca.
