Jerry Wayne Waller

Jerry Wayne Waller died early on the morning of Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the age of 72. Service: Family and friends will be attending a small private service on Monday. Memorials: Jerry was well known for many acts of rescuing abused and neglected animals. Instead of flowers, the family wishes to honor his memory through donations to the Humane Society of North Texas, hsnt.org/donate.php. Jerry was born on Oct. 23, 1940, to the now deceased Rev. John B. and Juanita Waller. Born and raised in Fort Worth, he attended Brewer High School. Jerry married Kathleen Bergin in 1968, while he was in the Officer Candidate School of the Oklahoma National Guard. After serving his country, he became a successful small business owner. Never wanting to retire, he was still managing his tire company and small farm at the time of his death. Jerry was a loving husband and father. He loved to spoil his grandchildren and pets, who cherished him. Survivors: His wife of 46 years, Kathleen; brother; sister; four children; six grandchildren; and his adoring pets.
