Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at First Baptist Church in Cleburne, followed by a time of fellowship.
Memorials: Arab Baptist Theological Seminary -- www.abtslebanon.org.
Mr. Hagood was born Sept. 25, 1944, in Richmond, Va., the son of Henry Hagood and Julia Saccar. Jim never met a stranger and was blessed with a multitude of friends from all corners of the Earth. He grew up in Beirut, Lebanon, and saw the world as the son of Baptist missionaries. He graduated from Howard Payne University in 1966. He was fluent in Arabic and was comfortable with people of any background or station in life. He was a lifelong Baptist and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Cleburne. He loved and lived life to the fullest and was passionate about sharing the love of Christ with everyone. He enjoyed all the people he got to know as manager and owner of Gibson's, as director of marketing and public relations for Walls Regional Hospital and, in recent years, as a mentor to elementary students. While we are saddened by our temporary loss, we are rejoicing that he left such a strong Christian legacy and is now in his eternal home.
Philippians 3:20-21.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Hagood; stepfather, Dr. Finlay Graham; and aunt, Virginia Hagood.
Survivors: His devoted wife of 40 years, Nancy Hagood; daughter, and son-in-law, Julie and Frank Sheeder; son and daughter-in-law, Graham and Suzanne Hagood; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Michael Jonason; his perfect grandchildren, Sam, Annie, Jake, Gray and Kara; mother, Julia Graham; mother-in-law, Nell Martin; sisters, Catherine Kelly, Rose Mary Cavazos, Christine Brashears, Dr. Sheila Smith and their husbands and families.

i'm extremely sorry that I did not respond sooner. I have been to Hughley many times the past year (surgeries, illnesses, etc.) but I had forgotten your Dr's name. My sympathies & prayers are with you.

I was saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Every occasion that I had to be with Jim, I found him to always be a gentleman and a true representative of his Christian faith. Although he is no longer with us, his character and qualities will continue for generations.
Respectfully,
Ray Triplett

Nancy, I know that Jim has suffered a lot over the years - Mary (dec.'95) and I thought a lot about you both. Been ill myself for the past year - two surgeries at Hugely but was not sure if you worked for a doctor there. It's been a long time. My prayers & sympathies are with you during these trying times. God Bless You

Dear Julie, I am sorry that your Dad died. He was the most genuine, kind, and outgoing guy; always fun to be around when we were in school! He will be missed terribly. Your close, loving family will always be a tribute to the kind of father and husband he was. We're thinking of you daily,
Love, Jennifer and Jim
