John Staples Estill Jr., and I are decendants of Jefferson Estill. My great-grandfather was John Staples Estill, Jefferson's son.

I am sorry that I did not have an opportunity to meet this fine Estill man. I would love to have someone in his family contact me.

I do send my sympathy.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I knew John as a young lawyer at Hall Estill in the late 1970's/early 1980's. He was a perfect example of what a lawyer should be -- brilliant, incisive, always calm, and a man of the highest integrity. Moreover, he was such a kind and considerate person, not to mention the fact that he had a great sense of humor. He was quite simply one of the most likeable persons I have ever had the privilege to be around. We all looked up to him and held him in the highest respect. I cannot think of a better example for all of the young lawyers like me whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed.

Please accept my sincere sympathy. John was one of my favorite lawyers at the firm, and he was so kind to me when I became the first paralegal. He was a very special person.
