Joshua Horn Obituary

Joshua Marcus Horn FORT WORTH --- Joshua Marcus Horn passed on Jan. 28, 2018, from complications of Schizophrenia. His organs were donated and saved three lives that had waited for five years. He was born Sept. 17, 1985. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Park with a memorial service at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church on Camp Bowie at 3:30 p.m. MEMORIALS: We encourage donations to Kiros prison ministry c/o Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, Lifegift.org and afsp.org Josh graduated from Arlington Heights High School where he lettered in Wrestling as a freshman. He was a team captain of the undefeated 2003 District Champion football team, where he wore his famous orange cleats. He also played baseball, basketball, soccer, power lifting, track and field, cross country and boxing. He competed in chess on local, state and national levels from 2nd grade through high school. Josh did landscape and lawn care from age seven to 17. He was a builder and remodeled houses. He went to Marymount College in Palos Verdes Calif., Prince William Sound College in Valdez, Alaska, Panola College in Carthage, Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth, Tarelton State in Stephenville, University of Las Vegas, Robert Morris in Chicago, UT El Paso, and Tarrant County College. In addition he also lived in Austin, Texas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Mexico, Honduras and Thailand. Josh was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Bernice Cecil; cousin, Evalyn Brimberry; uncle, Gary Derr; stepfather, Steven Bowman; grandfather, Charles Perry; and great-grandparents, Nona and CB Harris. SURVIVORS: Mother, Julia Perry and partner, Melvin McCaa; grandmother, Joy Perry; father, Jeff Horn; grandparents, Mark and Laura Horn; sister, Erin Horn and husband, Spencer McClure; five aunts and uncles; seven cousins and their six children.
