Survivors: Children, Ernest Evans, Joyce McCullum (Byron), Edith DeWitt, Troy DeWitt Jr., Tony DeWitt (Jackie), Kenneth DeWitt (Yolanda), Johnny Dewitt, Johnelle DeWitt, Ernest Evans Jr., Mansa Evans, Korina DeWitt and Brittoni DeWitt; siblings, Zonia Douglas, Mary Bates, Elvin Evans, Jessie Evans, Dodie Turner and Richard Evans, Sr.; and a host of family and friends.

Our Aunt Joe, you were a beautiful and strong woman. You are our angel. So we give you your wings to fly high above us and watch over us like you've always have done. We know you are home with Big Momma and Granddaddy and Uncle Sam and your eldest son Earnest. I know when they seen you come in, it must have been a joy for them to see you and embrace at those golden arches. You will be missed and you will always be in our hearts forever. Thank you GOD for giving me the opportunity to meet and spend time with a SPECIAL, STRONG, AND LOVING DIVA. Who touched my heart and spirit in such a short time, I was truly blessed to be in her presence. Whoever says that you can't fall in Love with someone in such a short time is truly wrong because you can. Always trust in God because he will be your strength and your peace.
