Joyce was a dear friend that I met at Wheatland Baptist Church. She was so dedicated to God, her family, her friends, church groups, VBS, and sharing her talents with others. She always sent cards to church members and since we shared the same birthday, we exchanged cards and phone calls. She taught my daughter, Lacie & her friend, Jocelyn, how to bake & decorate a doll cake, baked a beautiful anniversary cake for our church, and decorated cupcakes for Misties wedding shower at our church. We visited on the phone & Joyce showed up to bring my family a casserole after the death of my mom. We loved Joyce like our own grandmother & missed her when she moved to St. Frances. In life you only meet a very few people who share a piece of your heart and Joyce will always hold a special place in our hearts.
