I am Kenneths Great Grandaughter I will always remember being a little girl going and seeing him and playing with the chickens in the yard around the big oak tree in the back yard, walking into the house seeing all the stacks of old news papers, and asking him if he felt any small earthquakes that day. He will be missed but is in better hands walking streets of gold!

My name is Stacey Ellis, daughter of Dick and Cyndy Ellis, Great Granddaughter of Kenneth Neidholt. I wanted to share a memory or two about this man we all love. The first memory I have of him is being in his back yard and his pet chickens. I thought it was so neat to see someone who lets chickens sit on his lap! Later on I remember sitting down in a chinese restruant with my parents, grand parents and him. I remember him telling a love story about his wife and how she looked in this one dress. I found out later that he had told this story many times to many people, but it was my first time hearing it and I remember the look in his eyes as he talked about his wife. I never got a chance to meet her, but im glad that he did. Not many people can love each other to keep that twinkle of the eye alive for that long. A couple of years ago I stayed at my grandparents house for a couple of days and he was there one after noon and he was having a hard time hearing me. So I got a pencil and paper and we wrote to eachother on the kitchen counter about all sorts of things. Later on we exchanged addresses and he sent me letters about his life. I didnt know as much as I wish I did about him, but im glad I got to meet him, and got to see how many lives he touched. I learned from him one of the most important lessons so far in my life...is just to listen to wisdom, and learn from it.

My name is Cyndy Neidholt Ellis, daughter fo Jerry and Ruth, granddaughter of Kenneth. I would like to share some of my memories I wrote down after we left the service. Christmas', Easters, and birthdays and all the pretty handmade dresses we wore...ice coffee in colored tin glasses...the smell of a cigar(and now my husband smokes one on occasion)...the beautiful yard and flowers(I love to garden too)...the smell of burning leaves...his pet chickens sitting in his lap or in his chairs...always getting birthday cards, and thennot getting them any more...how he was the original scrapbooker(should've copywrited that)...as he got older and we visited him at the "lodge" he always had a smile and always said "love you" before we left...and like all the rest of you I always loved the stories,I think he learned that art from his Mom, Kate...and I will miss him but glad he is where he is now. Love You Grandad

Beyond Love
On the far side of the past
Is a memory of my granddad that will forever last!
I remember a kiss, a touch, and a soft spoken word
Now beyond my reach, resting with the Lord
Looking down from Heaven above
I can feel you, sending your love
Beyond the stars and the cloudy sky
You know, my love for you shall never die
I’m thankful for the memories we shared
And grateful I can speak to you in my prayers
Beyond your death to a life forever more
Your love comes to me from that heavenly core
We shared the love coming straight from our heart
From heaven’s open door we shall never be apart

I am the granddaughter of Kenneth Neidholt, the daughter of Larry, and my name is Rolene Myers. I spent many years and lots time going to see my grandfather with my dad. Every time we would visit him, he would tell us stories and we always enjoyed hearing them. I am proud, happy, and blessed, to have him for my Granddad; to visit with him was never a chore, it was always an enjoyment. I will miss him very much because I love him very much. What makes my heart happy is knowing that he has gone home to be with the Lord and my Grandmother Georgia; nothing could be any better that.

My name is Kitty Draut, Kenneth Neidholt is my Granddad. I have very fond memories of spending time with him and listening to his stories. He had a very sharp memory; he told me many stories about my father Larry, and my Uncle Jerry. They were involved in both basketball and football; he clipped news paper articles and saved them, photos and shared them, and because of this I have lots of wonderful memories. He taught me a lot about life, and how it should be lived.
When we moved away to Georgia, we kept in contact through letters, when we come to Texas to visit we would go over and see him. He always kept his yard immaculately and took great pride in everything he did. I have saved many of the letters, stories, and photos that he gave to me and I will forever cherish them. Granddad, I will keep you close to me in my heart and I look forward to seeing you in heaven; until then I will miss you very much.
