Lucia Hester Obituary

Kennedale, Texas - Lucia Hester, 74, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023.
Celebration of Life Service: 10 am Saturday, January 21 at Liberty Church Mansfield.
Lucia was born to S.F. "Buster" and Nadine Ludwick in Fort Worth on May 26, 1948. She loved animals, reading books, singing, painting, making jewelry and being with her family. Lucia married Danny Joe Hester in 1968. She served as the first librarian and later as a special needs paraprofessional at James F. Delaney Elementary school in Kennedale for 27 years. Lucia always had a smile on her face and carried laughter in her heart.
Lucia was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy, her parents, her husband, Dan, and her granddaughter, Brooke.
The family wishes to express special thanks to her very special care team at Val Verde Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors: Sons, Beau Hester (Jessica), and Casey Hester (Tosha), brother, Danny, sister, Vicki and grandchildren Logan, Levi, Benjamin and Julianna Hester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucia's honor to her granddaughter's global charity, Brooke's Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation, which she took much pride in supporting, always. www.BrookesBlossoms.org
