Dr. Nazarian saved my mothers' life in 1986. He did mitral valve replacement surgery on her. I am so sad to hear of his passing, albeit late. My condolences to his family. What a sweet man.

August 22, 2015

"Manny" was Chief of Surgery at Harris Hospital in 1980's where I was a young surgeon in practice. He was an amazing Department Chief who presided over our monthly Surgical Complications Conference. I remember his candid remarks about errors resulting in complications in patients who had been operated on a Harris. He pulled no punches, and you as the operating surgeon, had to endure his remarks in front of your peers. I had the utmost respect for Manny. Lawrence Petta, MD

I worked with dr. Nazarian in Harris hospital in 1975 until 1980 what an amazing human being. I can still see him coming in with his surgical clothes after performing one of the many open heart surgeries. It is a sad loss. Jane Hollywood RN

Your father was an amazing Dr. In the year 1977 I was only 4 and I remember having him as my Dr. who did open heart surgery on me. I have also had the privilege of watching him in my later years as a Surgeon in the hospital I work in. He was loved by so many. Including me and my family .

Dearest Lili, Michael, Rebekah, and Rachel, Words cannot begin to express how sad I am for the loss of your incredible husband and father. Not only did his brilliant mind and hands touch the lives of so many people, but his kind words and actions did as well. I will always remember him holding out his hands to me at Trinity Valley School during a parent teacher conference and stating that his hands would be there to help me if I ever needed him. Two years ago he saved my husband's life with his amazing talent. I want to let you know that your family is so special to me. It was a privlige and delight to teach Michael, Rebekah, and Rachel in 3rd grade at TVS. I will always cherish the memory. I have loved keeping abreast of their incredible careers. Please know I am praying for your family during this difficult time. I hope it gives you each comfort to know how loved your entire family is by so many. Kneeling in prayer for each of you. Dr. Nazarian was a great surgeon, His personality was great. He made you feel comfortable and was there for you to answer any questions you might have. He was my surgeon for both carotids, Open Heart surgery,Mechanical valve replacement, 3 by passes and also blockage in the leg. He was soft spoken and had a comforting voice when I needed it. May God bless his family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Naz, I was so sad to hear of your demise, I was privaledged to work with your patients for several years at Harris, so long ago now. You and your family are in my thoughts and my prayers. Rest in peace dear man.

August 18, 2013

I am one of the many that Dr. Nazarian saved! I remember when he came into his consulting room of his office and said to me, "You have a very interesting case here". My reply was "Dr. with your lengthy experience over the past 30 years, I don't think I am encouraged by what you just said". He then told me why my case was "interesting" and asked his staff to clear his schedule for my surgery. He was wonderful and explained so I (a layman) could understand what he and I was up against. He then proceeded to "save my life". Thank you Doctor and I hope to see you again! Jim Brunick

We know "Manny" Nazarian not as the world-renowned Doctor but rather as the loving father of our son's best friend in High School. He was a kind and caring husband, a downright humble and down-to-earth individual amid all his accomplishments as a life-saving, competent and compassionate cardiologist. But what impressed us most about Dr. Nazarian was that he's a genuinely good man. He will be sorely missed.

I drove my Dad to Harris Hospital in 1989 when he called and told me he was popping nitroglycerian pills like candy but to no avail. In the emergency room they determined he had arteries 98% blocked and time was critical. Dr. Nazarian was called in and he did a quadruple bypass. In his kind bedside manner both before and after the surgery he also relieved our anexiety. My family will be forever grateful for the fine character and skills Dr. Nazarian brought to Fort Worth. We had another 21 years with Dad after his encounter with this master surgeon.

There are no words to tell family members what Dr. Nazarian meant to our family. Many years ago my Mother-in-law was to have bypass surgery and another Dr. was scheduled for it and due to an emergency Dr. Nazarian was called in to replace him. Naturally our family was concerned since we didn't know anything about Dr. Nazarian at the time. However I asked an RN on the floor " I know you cannot tell me much but is Dr. Nazarian a good doctor?" She said "Step out into the hall a moment" she then pointed down the hall and said " The man in one of those rooms is a cardiologist from another city, flown to Ft. Worth so Dr. Nazarian can perform his heart surgery." Needless to say our concern was alleviated. Then several years later my husband had bypass and then we knew for certain the surgeon we wanted! God Almighty gifted Dr. Nazarian with amazing skills as well as the ability to assure the waiting family he would do everything in his power for the surgery to be a success. Families and the City of Ft. Worth bid farewell to a great man and our family for one will be praying for his son Michael as he takes over his father's practice and makes his own contribution to the lives of patients.

We're so sorry about Dr. Nazarian's passing. He performed a double valve replacement on my wife in 2011 and she's doing great. We'll always remember his great "bedside manner". The staff at Harris' ECU had nothing but praise for both his skills and his personality.

August 15, 2013

My condolences to Dr. Nazarian's family. Dr. Nazarian did my triple bypass surgery on the 20th of Feb., 1973. He was a wonderful friend to me and my family. He also operated on my husband doing a abdominal aneurysm repair then a left leg amputation in 1996 due to no circulation. We all loved him and recommended him to many of our friends and co-workers at General Dynamics. He will be missed. Rest in Peace. Reda Dinsmore, age 92.

Sharing time on earth with one of the Greats! 35,000 heart surgeries according to papers. It was Dr Nazarian who took my bypass case when other cardiovascular surgeons turned away. I was 48 years old. After all the coma, my intensive care and recovery, I asked him "What now?" He simply said, enjoy life. To this day I have sent him a postcard on every travel thanking him. And here I am with one last card to send.
Just remember, it is the ones that walk towards your trouble and remain at your side that there will be no substitution when they vanish. RIP dear Doc.
