Marshall Barker Obituary

Blake Barker passed away the morning of Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, Granbury. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Granbury or the Rotary Club of Granbury. Blake was the only son of Nell B. and Wallace R. Barker. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas (Class of 1970) and SMU (Class of 1974). Blake was an active member of the Granbury civic community. He served as president of the Rotary Club of Granbury and on the board of directors for Mission Granbury and the local tourism advisory board. Blake was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Sister, Diane Calvert; daughters, Dr. Diane Mitschke and husband, Aaron, Dr. Meredith Burkholder and husband, Keith, and Wetherly Barker; sons, Alex Barker and wife, Caroline, and Blaine Barker; grandchildren, Pla Shee, Kai and Ruby Mitschke, and Grayson and Barrett Burkholder; and his fiancee, Ann Baldwin.
