Max Oberholzer Obituary

Max Elwood Oberholzer, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 2, 2014, at a hospice in Fort Worth. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Salesville Baptist Church. Interment: Graford Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. He was born June 23, 1938, in Waynecastle, Pa., the son of Raymond Charles and Ann Elizabeth Grosh Oberholzer. He married Odena Lee Hood in 1960; she preceded him in death Nov. 12, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Zane Sr. and R. Brondell Oberholzer. He married Maggie Young in August 2008. He was a member of Salesville Baptist Church and the Graford Lions Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Bell Helicopter for 33 years. He was most recently employed with the Graford ISD. Survivors: His wife, Maggie Oberholzer of Graford; sons, William Todd Oberholzer of Fort Worth and Thomas Kirk Oberholzer of Graford; granddaughter, Shenan Oberholzer of Watauga; brother, Kenneth and wife, Delta Oberholzer, of Greencastle, Pa.; sisters: Romaine and husband, George Yantosik, of Hummelstown, Pa., Martha and husband, Leroy Beeler, of Chambersburg, Pa., Mary and husband, John Means, of Hagerstown, Md., Donna and husband, Robert Weikert, of Fairfield, Pa.; 12 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and three great-great-nephews.
