After a year I'm still missing my friend Maxwell. No more phone calls to see how things are going. No more hearing him say "bye". I can only imagine the whole that's left in the hearts of his loved one. God bless and keep each of you.

We celebrated Max's life at Chapel of the Chimes at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Friends came from different stages in his life. We let go butterflies to release his spirit to heaven. They flew even in the brisk February air.

Sandra and family I was saddened to learn of Maxwell's home going. He loved going to your home for the holidays. His nephews and what they were doing made him so proud.
He was such a wonderful person. I will miss our long chats. May God our Father comfort each of you.
We're praying for you.
Rest my friend. No more pain.

I am so sorry to hear of the recent passing of Max. I met the entire family when my father, Rev. Verne Fuqua, was the Associate Minister at Matthew´s Memorial Methodist Church now University Methodist in the 7th grade. I remember his tragic motorcycle accident on "Suicide Hill" and his long recovery. Prayers for all of you now and in the days to come.

My brother Max will be greatly missed. He was a devoted Uncle to my two sons Alex and Michael. I will miss his phone calls to check on me and see how my family was doing. At the family dinner table growing up he told funny stories about his day at school. He enjoyed swimming and entered a three mile race at Benbrook Lake. Our family bought a boat with Max's guidance to have fun water skiing and camping at Lake Benbrook with roasted marshmallows by the fire. He could slalom with one ski up and down the lake missing tree stumps as he glided. He loved having the annual Christmas Party with the First Methodist Church. There was always a big crowd with lots of laughter sampling his smoked brisket he prepared in his cooker. He worked at Krokers for over thirty years. All his customers at Kroger knew him by name. After work he often came over to check on my parents to make sure they were okay. He enjoyed meeting friends at the Railhead and had a big group of buddies to chat with. He is reunited with his beloved mom and dad.
