May 25, 1937 - August 4, 2025
Arlington, Texas - Nancy "Waunita" Moore, 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2025. Services 9:30 - 10:30, Wednesday, August 13, at FBC Arlington. Burial: Moore Funeral Gardens at 11:00. Visitation: Tuesday, August 12, 1- 3 at Moore Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mission Arlington.
Waunita was born May 24, 1937, in Hot Springs, AR to Scotty and Lula McKelroy. After graduating high school, she moved to Fort Worth, TX where she met her husband of 53 yrs, Henry C. Moore, Jr. She has one daughter, Tammy. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother James McKelroy and sister Sherry Janelli. Waunita is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Tammy Moore.
She was employed by Lennox Industries for over 25 yrs. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Arlington for the past 60 plus years. She was also a member of ABWA, Arlington Women Club, Arlington Women of Rotary Club and ENCORE of Arlington.
She enjoyed volunteering at Mission Arlington, shopping at her favorite antique stores and traveling. She was a loving wife, mother and loyal friend to all who knew her.
