Dear Nate, I will miss your great smile and laugh. I guess you and hangar 437 (better known as 60-1) guy are cooking up some tales to be told. You are one of the best friends we have ever had, always ready with a helping hand and good advice. You will be remembered for your wit, talents, good nature and your ability to start new adventures and conquer every one of them. You lived life to the fullest and in doing so you enriched every life around you. God Bless and keep you and your great family, including all of your "extended family" with whom you embraced each new adventure you tackled and shared those special experiences.
Bye, bye for now but not forever.

Nathan's involvement with Young Eagles touched the lives of many teens from the Metroplex and Belfast, Northern Ireland. Each summer, the Ulster Project brings 16 U.S. and 16 Northern Irish teens to Hicks Field, Where the Young Eagles give plane rides to each teen. This event is invariably the most exciting and best-rated event of the summer for these teens. Nate will be remembered for his service as a firefighter and his example of a life well-lived. But all of us in the Ulster Project will remember him as well as one of the pilots who helped give hundreds of young people a once-in-a-lifetime experience. On behalf of Ulster Project-Arlington, I want to extend my condolences to Nate's family. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Nate .... Life is not a journey with the intention of leaving this old world in a well preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming WOW WHAT A RIDE ..... This saying reminds me so much of you. You lived life to the fullest and you could make me and a million other girls smile. As I fly my 757 red-eye flight on friday nite into saturday morning - I know you will be with me ... Up in the Cockpit ...One more flight for Nate .... And we will arrive back in time for your Memorial ... I Love You - I will miss you and I will never EVER forget you buddy !

Had the pleasure of flying a whole month with Nate. He always kept us in stitches. There was no end to his stories. He'd put his music over the PA while we got ready for the passengers. And they loved him, too. He was so full of life. I still cannot believe he is gone. My heart goes out to Barb and the family. May you ever soar in your balloon, Nate!!!

I only flew with Nate once but never forgot him. I remember thinking geez this guy has a lot going on, no way it's all true. I came to see that in fact it was all true and as his obituary states he was truly a dream-achiever. My greatest sympathies to his family and his friends who knew him best. Soar high, Nate.

Nate was and always is a dreamer! before he passed we had a conversation about our futre and our expierinces. I have learned so much from one 6 hour convo and then the two years we spent together I will always cherrish and hold close to my heart. I have learned allot from Nate and will never forget all the lessons he taught me, whether I wanted to learn them or now. He showed a way to live life and Enjoy what I do or its not worth doing. He never said "yolo" or anything like that he simply said "live dangerously" and it certainly got us both in trouble. But it was fun and worth doing. Sure we had our occasional disagreement but at the end of it he always found a way for us to laugh about it and make us both a better person. Nate was my go to guy for if there was anything I needed to talk to him about and he would always have my back. I will miss him and always love him.
Nate and Jeff is the best brother ANYONE could ever ask for and I am honored that I had the oppritunity to be his brother.
I love you Nate!

Nate was full of life, and lived more in his 39 years, than most do, in a life-time. Though his time was cut short, his memories live in all of us. Nate touched lives and we're all the better for it.
Some of my favorite memories of Nate include game nights and watching him dance with his mother. This special man will never be forgotten on earth. Heaven is in for a real treat!!! I love you, Nate!!!

I love what the obituary says about him. The dreamer in him is what I liked most about him. No matter what obstacles he faced, he always found a way to keep working toward his dreams. My heart goes out to Barb, Pops, Jeff, Mimi, Josh, Jade and the rest of his family. He will be deeply and dearly missed.
