Frankston, Texas - Viewing, Rosary, and funeral services for Priscilla Elizabeth (Scott) Hoffman, 82, of Frankston, Texas, will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler, Texas. Burial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 9:00 am at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Frankston, Texas. Services provided by Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Texas.

Priscilla has joined her beloved Charlie in Heaven. For over 60 years, their loving relationship enriched the lives of countless people in their family and community. Together they had three sons; Chuck, Pat, and Scott, and one daughter, Mary.

Priscilla had a modest demeanor but a brilliant mind. She was valedictorian in high school and salutatorian at Texas Woman's University. She holds a lifetime unbeaten streak in Trivial Pursuit.

Priscilla was also a woman of exceptional poise and discipline - practically unflappable, even while raising four rambunctious kids. She was deeply caring but rarely emotional. She was well-informed about most matters but generally kept her opinions to herself. She was a serious person but always ready with a laugh and constantly wore a smile.

Although a convert, Priscilla was a devout Catholic and helped found parishes in Arlington and Frankston, Texas. She was active in numerous church ministries including religious education.

Priscilla had a calling to serve others. She made contributions to Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, soup kitchen, food pantry, and many others. Her strongest passion was for children, especially those less fortunate. For over 24 years, she served as a CASA volunteer, advocating for dozens of children in foster care. She will be dearly missed.
