Reba spent her life giving of herself, and touched many lives through her friendly loving spirit. She was a caring wife, mother and grandmother and especially enjoyed sharing laughter with her five grandchildren. Born Oct. 24, 1926, in Elkin, N.C., Reba spent her growing up years working on her parents' farm. After marrying her hometown sweetheart and attending college in Arkansas, she and her husband returned to North Carolina. Later they lived in Virginia for over 30 years before moving to Fort Worth in 2000. Mrs. Cockerham was happiest when working to meet the needs of others, whether as homemaker, secretary or Sunday School teacher. She encouraged those who were near her while living a life of gentleness and service both to others and to her Lord Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her. She was a charter member of Agape Baptist Church.
Survivors: Loving husband of 54 years, Andrew; sons, Craig and his wife, Carol and Ken and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren Benjamin, Amy, Andrew, Jason and Brent; sister, Ruby Joyce; and brothers, Sam, Bobby and Charles Johnson.
