Harold,
Just heard of your loss. I'm a bit out of pocket from our old stomping grounds there in Azle. I'm hopeful that by now you've been found some peace with your loss. When a loved one dies, especially so suddenly, the lost opportunities can haunt you for quite a while.
I'm hopeful that this finds you in a peaceful state of mind and heart.

My Dearest Becky,
I've just learned of your passing. My heart goes out to Eagle and your family. Being your friend, working with you, and partying with you back in the ole "Disco/Body & Sole days" makes that time the fondest of all to me. I thought of you often when I came home to visit and now can only regret that I did not attempt to call you. When we meet again I hope that you have those ugly platform shoes of mine I gave you for that last dance we promised each other! Until then you remain my beautiful Becky Ann in my heart and thoughts. Always and forever.

Becky and my mom worked together at Silver Creek, and Mom always came home with a differnet story about something they had gotten into. Becky made life fun and interesting for everyone she was around. I'll never forgot talking to her the Friday before the football game- she was so happy and felt her life was perfect. Harold, Ty, and Wylie, my heart aches for you all and I continue to pray for your family daily.

I wanted you all (family) to know what an honor I felt knowing Becky Hagler Eagle when I enter that Church. I looked around I could hardly believe the kids I saw that filled that Church. Becky was truly loved by everyone. I enjoyed so much the little stories her friend told about her I just wish I had kept in better contact with her as an adult. My heart goes out to all Becky's family, friends and co-workers.

May God bless you and keep you.

I watched little Becky grow up, I did not get to know her as I moved away, but I know I would have loved her as an adult. I ran around with Sonny (Homer Hugh Hagler III) when we were teenagers. I have many fond memories with the Hagler family. Especially watching Hugh build his own fiberglass boat in his garage while Becky ran around getting into everything. My sympathy is with all of you in your loss of a beautiful person.

Even though I haven't seen Becky in a while, I still remember growing up swimming in Donna's pool and Becky would bring Wylie and Ty. Her, Donna and my mom would sit around the pool while we all swam. I still remember how wonderful and sweet she was. We will all miss her and her smile greatly. My heart goes out to her family and Donna at this sad time.

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come.
When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages, below the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.
When the storms of life come upon us ... and all of us will experience them...we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God.
The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure, and disappointment into our lives. We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

I taught with Becky at Hardeman Elementary in BISD and we became very good friends. When Becky went back to Azle to teach, we didn't stay in close touch with each other but talked periodically and never missed a beat when we did talk. She called me in the fall of 2000 and told me our oldest children had bumped into each other at Tech. What a small world! We started up again and enjoyed catching up on our lives and how they had changed since the kids were growing up. We made several "Mom" trips to Lubbock and enjoyed seeing Ellissa and Wylie being such big buddies. Becky was an awesome friend and I'm really missing her.She will remain in my heart and memory forever. I feel so fortunate to have known her and have her as my friend.

Although I never knew Becky, I know a dear, close friend of hers. For those who knew her, peace be with you.
Remember too that life is like a train ride. The ride has a beginning but we never know when it will end. So enjoy the ride and never forget those who rode with you.

I worked with Becky for 2 years at Silver Crek Elementary. She was a very sweet and giving person. Without her help, Silver Creek would not have gotten the grant for the outdoor learning center.

I've known Becky ever since she and Eagle met. (a long time ago) Becky and I weren't close friends, but you would never know it, because when we saw each other you would think we were the closest of friends. She was always so kind, caring, and had a smile on her face. Ever since I heard about Becky, I've been trying to understand why. All I can come up with is, God needed a very special angel - Becky.
My condolences to her family. We will miss her smiles.

Our sincere thoughts and heartfelt prayers go out to the Eagle and Hagler families, on the loss of their loved one. I have known Becky and the Hagler family since she was a very young girl. They lived on the next street over from us. Becky was the "Flower Girl" in our wedding, at the age of 6 years old...some 40ty years ago. I remember her being a very sweet, pretty little girl with long blond hair and she always had a big smile on her face. She touched so many people lives and will be greatly missed and remembered by all. We will continue to pray for her family members during this difficult time. Becky...May God bless and be with you and may you rest in peace forevermore.
Love,

Becky was such a wonderful, loving person.Full of love for everyone, always there for anyone who needed help and support. She was my third cousin. She and our daughter Debbie were really good friends as was their families, and as well as cousins.
It is so hard to understand why-- when someone as young, healthy, and vivacious as Becky, has to leave this earth so soon. But we do know, God has other plans for her.She will be greatly missed.
With our deepest love and sympathy,

Although it had been many, many years since I have seen Becky in person, her presence is fresh in my memory because of all the times she appears in our home movies and photographs. A constant fixture at birthday and Christmas parties (with Mary Jane & Hugh), she was an extended member of our family in those early years. After seeing how beautifully she developed herself and her life, I feel privileged to have "grown up" with her. My sincere condolences to the Eagle and Hagler families.

Becky was a sweet, vivacious and memorable individual. She was my eldest son's first grade teacher (he is a high school junior at present). She was the epitome of what a teacher should be - caring, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Becky always had a big smile and kind word for everyone. Though I haven't seen her since she left B.I.S.D., my family and I will always remember her. She was a neat lady and she will be missed. Our thoughts are with her family, who she adored.
Sincerely,
Cindy B. Macon

It has been over 30 yrs (I think) since our last Boswell Reunion.
I'm employed at the Dist Atty's office which I have been for 25 yrs. so I get a chance to see alot of people who are called for Jury Duty. I can't remember whether it was 2000 or 2001 but Becky was on Jury Duty and I can still remember hearing her call my name in the hallway; seeing her brought back alot of memories.
I can still remember the fun we used to have as kids playing together at the Family Reunions.
I can still see your Mom (MaryJane) in the kitchen, my grandmother (Ovella) running around trying to tell everyone where their family is to sit and Lyman and Ruth at the guest book. Those memories I have of Becky will be with me forever.
May God be with you and your family.
With my deepest Sympathy and Love.

Becky was another mom to my brother and me. We spent lots of time at their house. Wylie and Ty are our best friends. Becky and I were also running buddies. We ran many, many miles together. She is truly the most caring and loving person that I have ever known. She would do anything for anybody and never ask for anything in return. She inspired me to be the best and also to pursue a career in teaching. She was my other mom, running buddy, friend, supporter, and cheering partner at basketball and football games. This is a huge loss for her family, friends, and Azle. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. I love her!

Although I have not seen Becky for the last 28 or so years, her loss still weighs heavily on my heart and soul. I will remember her as a genuine, caring, individual, one who was devoid of pretext or prejudice. Surely Becky's love, her character, and the joy of her life here with us remain to continuously remind us of her.
My most heartfelt condolences to the Eagle and Hagler families, I and all her many acquaintances share the sorrow of your loss. My family and I pray for your comfort and consolation at this time.
Sincerely,
