Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington.
Richard E. Baker was born Nov. 15, 1935, in New Lynn. He served in the U.S. Army and was a 32nd Degree Mason/Scottish Rite and was a member of the Keystone Lodge in Dallas. Richard loved to hunt and fish with his sons and be outdoors enjoying nature. The family wishes to express a special thank-you to Emily Baker for helping take care of Richard in his last few days; and his employer, Ben E. Keith - Beer Division, who showed great concern and support throughout his illness. He was preceded in death by father, Luther Baker; brother, Curtis; and his wonderful dog, Crickett.
Survivors: Loving wife, Maria Ann Persuitte; mother, Ella Mae Hill Baker; brothers, Kenneth and Lonnie; sons, Dewayne Baker and Montie Baker and wife, Baba; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Baker and Nicole Baker; and great-grandson, Christopher Michael Baker Jr.

Sorry to hear about Richard. Our prayers are with you, as we will not be able to attend the service. We will be going to Aunt Mezzie's in Clyde.
