January 17, 2014

Joe,Francis and Family, Tony and I were so sorry to hear about Ricky's passing. We hadn't seen Ricky nor some of his siblings since we were neighbors many, many years ao. We wish
we could have seen him throughout the years to have heard his wonderful laughter and his caring way he had with people which others seem to remember about him. We remember Ricky and his siblings coming over to the house to play with our two children and his "head of hair", such a sweet boy and so very brave when he was ill as a child. I was so sorry not to have been able to attend the services but I was thinking of you. Our prayers and condolences are with you all.

I am so very sad to see that this sweet, wonderful man has passed. I met Richard in 1985 when my Grandfather was hospitalized at Huguley. I always smile when I think back to sitting in the vending area, drinking coffee when two of the cutest, and nicest guys walked in, sat down, and began to cheer me up. For years Richard kept in touch with me and my Mom, who is gone to Heaven as well..He was a very good friend and a phenomenal therapist because he truly cared and that showed. The Angels are singing my friend and my Mother has another friend in Heaven. God Speed Richard, I am sure your smile has made the stars a little brighter than they already were.

Richard, since i was a little boy i will never forget your strength and courageous fight and as i grew older i understood how strong you really were! You never let anyone know how you were feeling, you just smiled and made sure everyone else was okay, that is the way you lived your life for others and their well being. You can rest now my dear cousin and i know God has his arms wrapped around you with love and comfort that only we can imagine. I Love you! Armando Jr

My Uncle, My Godfather.....you are already greatly missed. Your contagious smile and big laughter will live on in my heart forever. There will not be a day that goes by that I won't think of you. Although you are in a much better place and are no longer suffering it hurts to not have you here with us. There will be a empty space in our hearts that can never be filled. Apart of us is missing and will continue to be missing until we meet again. Love you always and forever.

My thoughts are with the family. Met Richard in the early 90's while working at Huguley and enjoyed many nights out with a group. Those were some of the best times in my life. He will be truly missed.

I have not met a better man/soul than Richard in my journeys and I had thoroughly enjoyed my occasional evening talks with him when he was outside getting some fresh air.

Though Richard's song has ended, his melody lingers on. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Richard was a good Man.
He was great at his chosen profession.
He was the best at being a Father, a Son, a Friend, & a Brother.
I feel Honored that Richard considered me his Brother.

Such fond memories. I loved messing with him just to hear him laugh. He was the type of person you enjoyed being around because he would laugh hysterically at all the dumb stuff you said. Richard was a great guy. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Ricky, Your smile was contagious even when I put you through the paces in Physical Therapy. You tried harder than anyone because you wanted your boys to see the fight to overcome is important in life. I know they saw it. See you again my friend.
