Funeral: 11 a.m. Thurday at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1010 Parkway Drive, Alvarado. Burial: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: You may visit Robert noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m.
Survivors: Wife, Jewell Holbert; sons, Robert Anthony Sr., Joe Earl (Muriel) and Herman Holbert; special grandson/son, Kurtzs (Sabrina); daughters, Lillie Lee (the Rev. Jerome), JoeAnn Davis (Willie), Ruby Clark (Charles Sr.), Bernadette Holbert, Faye Annette Holbert and Argenette Walters (Courtney); brothers, Walter Sr. (Mary Jo) and Henry Simon (CiCi); sisters, Eula Mae Adams and Minnie Brown (Jackie); and a host of relatives and friends.

Robert was not just my brother-in-law he was also my friend. I thank God for all good time we shared. Robert you will be missed dearly. May God Bless the family and give each of you Peace.

Well family another one of our own has gone on to be with the Lord. Praise God he fought a good fight and kept the faith. Uncle Robert was a good man, a family man. He touched the hearts and lives of us all. May his legacy live on. Gone but not forgotten.

All praise to GOD today and forever more. I am truly grateful for the time GOD allowed us to have with Uncle Robert. We have lost an AWESOME story teller and a man with an exceptionally huge heart. I will always cherish that smile and his ability to make others laugh with the stories of his life. Uncle Robert, trust me when I tell you that you will really be missed. Our loss is definitely HEAVEN's gain. My prayers of comfort and peace are with the immediate family and all that loved Uncle Robert. God had a need for a pillar in heaven and he filled it with my uncle.
