Born: May 6, 1946 | Died: January 28, 2026
Donald Holbert, age 79 of Maryville, passed away January 28, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Donnie retired from the University of TN Maintenance Dept after 42 years of employment. He was a lifelong tractor enthusiast and President of the Heritage Tractor and Engine Club.
Preceded in death by his parents, E.C. and Imogene Holbert. His wife Nancy Peterson Holbert, children Christy Lynne and Angel Denise. Step children John Frank and Donna Payne.
Survived by siblings Joe Holbert, Larry Holbert (Carolyn), Ginger Kyle (Marshall), Nancy Holbert. Special nephews Travis Holbert (Laura), Rusty Holbert (Michelle), Daniel Holbert (Tiffany Baker). Several nieces. Great nephews Justin Kerr, Cody Holbert, Charlie Arnett. Great Niece Abby Arnett. Honorary grandsons Jacob Gross and Christopher Byrd. Cousin JE Mottern.

Funeral Ceremony will be 6:00 PM Monday, February 2, 2026 in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel with Mr. David Dykes, officiating. Interment will be 11: 00 AM Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 4 until 6 PM Monday at Dotson Funeral Home & Cremation.
