Bobby Joe and I grew up together on Marigold from kindergarden through high school. We lost touch after he was called up to serve during Vietnam.
I was hoping to see him at the reunion.
My prayers are with him and his family.

Bobby Joe and my twin sister and myself all grew up together in Oakhurst. Attending elementary school & Riverside Baptist Church together. Mrs Witcher & my mother Edith Rusell were friends. The Witcher Family were wonderful people. As was Bobby Joe.
We lost contact over the years, but my heart is saddened by this news.
God Bless all of the Family.

Again, I was one of Bobby's friends in the Carter-Riverside Class of 1959. We all have pleasant memories of your husband, father, and grandfather...from sports to the classes we shared. It seems strange to see our classmates with graying hair and hear of their careers..people we remember from our teens..Bobby had a wonderful personality.it is not hard to picture him as an outstanding salesman. May the peace of the Lord be always with you.

Bobby Joe was my friend of well over 50 years-- i was hoping that i would see him again at our 50th reunion at the end of this month---as kids we played on the same football teams in both junior high and high school---in high school he was the defensive left end and he was tough and always reliable---not very big but he could "mix it up" with the best of high school football--we went to the State quarterfinals our senior year. But more importantly he was a solid friend----i never heard ANYONE say anything unkind or negative about Bobby Joe---i hope his family ( especially his kids and grandkids ) will remember that he was a man of honor, dignity, and character. I certainly loved and respected him.

Bobby Joe and Vicki and I were next door neighbors. Childhood memories fill my mind and I have a hard time thinking of us as "senior citizens". We argued like kids do, and at this time, those are even more precious arguments. My mom and Mrs. Witcher always made sure we were in our finest to go to church, Riverside Baptist. Our years at Carter Riverside prepared us to face the world and to become the citizens that America expected of us.
Even though in our adult years we have not socially gathered, we always knew each other was there and we could communicate. Our parents kept us informed.
Bobby Joe, we will miss you and our love is unending. I have always thought of you on June 6 and that now will be even a more important day to remember.
Pat and kids, and Vicki, our hearts bleed for your loss. God has prepared Bobby Joe for this day and that is the greatest comfort we can have.
Take care and know that we are here for you.

Bob and I were classmates through elementary and high school. We were on the football team together and we lost touch with each other after graduation. My prayers are with his family and may the peace of Christ be with all his family.

I always looked forward to our bi-monthly sales visits. He was one of us, an "old-timer" in the business, and will be sadly missed. Always offering strength, encouragement and inspiration in the face of battle against such a dreaded foe. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. So long my friend

To Pat, children, grandchildren, and Vicki and her family --- please accept our sincere sympathy and prayers for all of you. Your dear Bob and I were members of Class of 1959 at Carter High. He was a special person then, and I know a special person in his adult life. I am so glad to have known him. May God continue to grant you strength and peace in these days ahead.

I was one of Robert's high school friends. We played on the Amon Carter Riverside golf team toghether and went to church together at Riverside Baptist Church. We spent many Sunday afternoons playing tennis. I enjoyed many hours and days in his company. He was always a competitor, playing defensive end on our highly ranked high school team. He always challenged me to achieve more in our competitions with each other. I just sent him a letter two weeks ago asking about the possibility of getting together, after having lost track of each other over the years. God bless his family and him in eternity.
