You were the best friend and coworker that anyone could be blessed to have in their life. I think of you all the time, especially when your beloved Cowboys play. One of my fond memories of you was when you dawned a wig and played host to a re-enactment of the Weakest Link at an AISD Counselor's luncheon. Everyone was shouting with laughter! Thank you for spreading joy and happiness! Miss you my friend!

I never thought your death would affect me so much. I still can´t erase the last voicemail you left. I wonder how you would react to Dak´s contract and injury
You were an awesome colleague and friend, so many years of fun together. The gang still shares memories of your shenanigans!! I guess your saying that you loved to quote is true- I love you and there is nothing you can do about it! Rest on Russell

Small things like the Cowboy Report....and I don’t watch football, but I loved your report and the back and forth with Carl. I never knew I would miss you this much! Rest In Peace cousin. I love you

There are individuals that meet you on this life's journey, and The Livingston Family, was a part of The Armstrong's Family's journey in this kaleidoscope of life. As a child, Russell, was the older brother, I never had. His "fun loving" and kind heart, surely made an impact on me, growing up.
I will miss your humor and your big smile.
Rest In Peace.

True friendship is not based on the number of years or who you are; its based on love, respect, and enjoyment of being with that person. Russell and Steva are our friends and family here in Fort Worth. In a short period of time, we had many memorial moments. What fun we had, great concerts, and great eating. We will miss our brother, Russell; but with the assurance through Christ Jesus, we will meet again. Love to the family. We are here for you. Friendship is essential to the soul, French and Linda Thompson.

I knew Mr. Livingston briefly when I worked at a school where he was a teacher for at-risk students. He had a teacher's heart, cared for his students, and I looked up to him in many ways. I ran into him 5 years ago and it was great to catch up. Regards, thoughts, and prayers to his family. He will be missed by many.

To know him was to love him! I met Russell in 2007, as his partner - assistant principal. We have been friends since the first day we met. I was initiated into the family after he pulled his first prank on me a few weeks later. He announced in the campus mail that I was distributing free turkeys to the staff for Thanksgiving, which resulted in an endless parade of teachers in my office for two whole days.....and I had no turkeys. This was the just the beginning our loving friendship. He was the kind of friend that would bring a potato from home all the way to school....just to roll it under my desk, yell Tuck, is that a mouse?...and laugh as I screamed.
Russ lived a good, full life and made such an impact on so many people. I will miss him calling on the first day of every school year to remind me that he was retired. I will miss him teasing me about being the only black person that attends Yanni concerts. I will miss him calling, just to ask me if I knew who was playing in any Super Bowl...just because he knew that I didnt. Most of all, I will miss him and Nikki fighting in our group texts.
He was a great man and I thank God for allowing our paths to cross.

While Russell wasn't from Omaha, NE, he was a great supporter of the Native Omahans in Texas (NOIT) group for the past 10 years. He used his photography skills to take pictures of the 3-day event. He was always so kind and full of joy and life. He had so many dimensions to his life - too many to list. I followed his facebook page and always got a kick out of his Dallas Cowboys videos or his sock ministry. Russell will be missed by many. Our condolences to Steva and the rest of the Livingston family. Rest in heavenly peace in the arms of God Russell.

Russell brought so much sunshine and joy into our family. He was such a thoughtful and caring man. He inspired me during challenging times. He would send the most beautiful, uplifting greeting cards on special occasions. He added so much life to our gatherings. He was just a loving man. I'm grateful for how he so loved my sister Steva, and he extended that love to our entire family. He's present with the Lord now but he will be sorely missed here on earth. May God grant peace, comfort, and joy to all who are missing his presence. Love to the family. Love to you always BIL, my brother-in-love! Kathy

Russell was one of the best neighbors we have ever had. He certainly will be missed. Russell loved to poke fun and rag on me, but we had a lot of fun together because it was a two way street. Miss you, Russell... I'll be seeing you soon.
