Shelly Blankenship Obituary

Shelly Blankenship
September 10, 1964 - October 13, 2021
Burleson, Texas - Shelly Blankenship passed away peacefully October 13, 2021 due to a long-term illness. She was born September 10, 1964 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Charles and Dianne Lewallen. She married her love, Walter Blankenship, in December 1986 celebrating almost 35 years of marriage.
She received her degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Nazarene University and taught for many years along with her more recent role as a Education Advocate for special needs students which was her true passion in advocating for others.
Shelly loved to love on people and share inspirational words and advocate resources for whatever their needs might be. It suited her servant heart. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Shelly is survived by her husband, Walter Blankenship, her two sons Christopher snd Taylor Blankenship, her parents Charles and Dianne Lewallen, sisters and husbands, Kim and David Brecheen, Tammy and Don McFarlan, Jacque and Kirk Reimers; nieces and nephews, Katelyn Hellman and husband Paul, Lake Brecheen, Kirsten McFarlan, Jaden Reimers, Maxi Hellman, Harry Hellman; her sweet companion dog Emma Mae. All of these she loved and touched deeply throughout her life.
Please join us celebrating her life Saturday afternoon October 23, 2021 at 1:00pm First Baptist Church Burleson, Burleson Tx. Visitation with family following.
